Smelly Jelly Facts

What are Smelly Jellies?

Smelly jellies are room air fresheners, made with water crystals which can be re-hydrated by simply
adding warm bottled water - instructions come with your order.  Perfect for places where you cannot burn a candle, such as dorm rooms, work, vehicles, closets, etc.  They come in a variety of colors  to match your decor.   One smelly jelly will scent a small room, so if your room is very big we recommend two or three jellies.

Smelly Jellies make perfect hostess gifts, door prizes or add one to a gift basket to give it a little pizzazz!

Smelly Jelly Care

Re-hydrating

After a while, you will notice some shrinkage in your smelly jelly as the water evaporates.  To re-hydrate, simply add hot bottled water to your jar (about 1/2-3/4 a cup) and as the crystals absorb the water they will swell back up and you’ll once again have a fragrant jar of smelly jelly  Please make sure the water you add is bottled or distilled or you will ruin your smelly jelly.

Re-Scenting

If after a while your smelly jelly starts to lose its scent you can add a teaspoon of fragrance oil to it.  ($3.50 for a 1 oz or $5 for 2 oz)  Also, after about every third time you add distilled water also add a teaspoon of vodka or tequila to keep it happy!  The alcohol acts as a preservative and will keep it from molding. Taken care of your smelly jelly can last for up to five years.

Basic Common Sense Warnings

Even though they look good enough to eat, please don't.  With this in mind, keep out of reach of children and pets.

If you ever dispose of your smelly jelly, put it in zip-lock bag and throw in the trash.  If somehow, you still manage to pour your smelly jelly down the kitchen sink, pour a canister of soap down there with it, the soap will dissolve the water crystals.  And, of course, do not flush your smelly jelly down toilets; the crystals will swell up and clog your drains.
